Hollaaaaa! Long time no post! Work's been raping me so bad and wow I feel the wrath of being an adult just by realizing that I no longer have the luxury to go "petix" if it's work calling. Huhu. But I've been pretty much good in this adult thing hence deserving of this break yo.
Anyway, FINALLY! TEAM BUILDING! YAY! *monkey dance* Me and the workmates have been planning on this and believe me, this, actually happening at this time of the year at work where everyone is a busy bee is a milestone hahaha! But I know this will just be one of many this year. (Nananalig ako.)
3/25-3/26 - We went to Laresio Lakeside Resort and Spa. Yep, holy week gala. It was my colleague, Jomar (the guy I go duet with in all my singing videos on Facebook, for sure kilala niyo na agad. Oo, yung nasa tono hahaha) who planned this all out. Props to him really.
Laresio is situated in Brgy. Tadlac, Los Banos Laguna. I assume we all are familiar with Laguna Lake and 7 lakes of San Pablo but have you all heard of "Alligator Lake"? Me, never. Now lang.
That's it. That little one. <3 (Image from biyahenglaguna.com)
Also known as Tadlac Lake, Alligator lake is a freshwater crater lake which is one the maars of the Laguna Volcanic Field. It is listed as one of the inactive volcanoes in the Philippines by PHIVOLCS. I sounded so smart on that part, but that wasn't me talking, that's Wikipedia. Lels. I have to research about it because nga I haven't heard about this lake ever. So there, Knowledge Power. lol no.
During my research, (Naks) most of the lands surrounding the Alligator lake are private and based on what I learned from Kuyang driver ng balsa, so far Laresio is the only resort here, mostly are private rest houses but are for rent. And no, the lake is no alligator habitat. That was my first question, too prior to saying yes :D
Game On
We left Manila 11 AM-ish I guess? (That 'ish' though. Hello Glicelle if you are reading this.) Did the ever mandatory SLEX stop over and it didn't take us too long to arrive in Los Banos because wowzah, no traffic.
May konting drama upon arrival because of the rooms (which I don't want to talk about because GV lang please and again, props to Jomar for sorting it out with the staffs) and we were able to check in almost an hour late vs. the original 2:00 PM. We're suppose to stay in a cabana which is non-AC but Jomar managed to upgrade us to a family AC'd room when we realized how scorching hot it is and cabana is a no no at that time.
We need to wear this all through out our stay.
I underestimated the material it's created from bc yes,
it lasted until the ff. day lels
Our "upgraded" room. Thanks, Jumar!
We settled in and had lunch before deciding to start things up. Jumar brought kaldereta for us! Yay! Guests may eat in the 'Tavern' and they also have other available booths everywhere.
Laresio has all these extreme water activities (which is what we came here for, duh) perfect for the much needed adrenaline rush. (Wow, as if we are not getting enough at work! jk) That afternoon, since it's a little late already, we only managed to do two: Slip 'n Dip and Kayaking.
No pic during slip 'n dip huhu but I am telling you, it was too much
for my first lake dip :D
Feeling ko nasa Nicholas Sparks movie ako when we did Kayaking hahahahah seryoso. (Title: The Lake. Hmmm. Lels. No.) Too bad I was not able to bring my phone with me to take pictures. It was stunning, the view in the middle of the lake <3
Afterwards, we chilled on these swings with the perf view of those who are doing cliff diving as well as the lake.
They had 5th Wave movie set up by the pool
We had dinner lastly and settled in for the night preppin' for tomorrow's sakit ng katawan.
Brought my portable stove so we could cook. They have
restau in the resort but we opted cooking just because.
Good morning!
OMG Tadlac Lake is outstanding in the morning. Woop woop! Photo ops! Brace youselves! Vanity flash flood in 5, 4, 3, 2.....
Oshie and Glicelle. Maganda pa sila sa umagers.
Isige mo, Oshie.
Hello, Sun! Eww, morning face.
More selfies with the boys <3
<3 I wouldn't mind waking up to this view everyday.
Breakfast is served! We had breakfast by the lake before we head over to a loooong day. BTW, anong nangyari sa 3:00 AM call time guys?! Napuyat tayo sa surround sound na snore ng mga boys? :D
... Aaaand it's time. We did the balsa rafting first!
But wrong balsa, so we had to move. Lol.
We were headed to this... shet hindi ako alam tawag don. Basta,
the other side of the lake :p
Beauty.
We were even swimming while were in the midst of getting there (insert pictures here because Hi, Osh's GoPro, please upload ugh lol) And there's been some who asked me how's the water? It is not clear as in beach like, not even close but it was as fresh. It isn't even smelly contrary to how it looks like just because it isn't clear. I didn't even smell like anything after the dip. So basically, nothing to worry about it. Fresh. Anyway, more photo ops in that-area-I-don't-know-what's-called!
Hahahaha!!! Jomar, jump shot nga eh! :D Taas paa!!! :D
"Run tayo" utos ni Oshie. So run. Hahaha! Fun! <3
Once we got back to the resort, we rested a bit and then we headed to Vine Swing, something which up to now I don't even know how I managed to try (because again I can't swim) and the boys went 32 ft. cliff diving. I also was able to try Slip 'n Fly (sobrang sakit sa behind but so worth it. :D)
This trip was SOBRANG SAKIT SA KATAWAN but definitely one for the books!<3 And I am looking forward for more trip with the team this year. :)
Laresio is a perf place for team building so if you and your workmates are planning on taking a break, (STOP PLANNING, DO IT. NOW.) go ahead and give this baby a try :) Just make sure everyone is "push sa lahat" and is up to such extremes. You may check their packages and rates and other fun things to do here at their website: www.laresio.com :)
Have I ever said that I always dream of owning a yellow house by the lake? I didn't? That's weird, I always say stuff on Facebook and I never mentioned that? Lels. Yes, that is true. And yes, yellow house, that's the color it should be. So everyday Nicholas Sparks inspired movie feels because arte <3
That is it for now! Stand by for more of my auras this summer! <3
Hahaha! Nasa Tono kaya si Jomar kapag kumakanta! Hahaha!
ReplyDeleteNice bloggy, enjoyed reading your kemeruts! :)
