#KamikazeeHulingSayaw | The Final Show

"Noong una akala namin, walang manonood sa Kamikazee. Mali kami. Tama kayo. Kulang ang salita para ibalik sa inyo ang pagmamahal na binigay niyo sa amin."

One word to describe this night: MAANGAS.

It was announced this year that the band will be in an indefinite hiatus come 2016 and will be on their final gigs and concerts this year, thus, this farewell concert.

It sucks, really. I've known them since what? Elementary days? (Damn, I'm old. lol) They've been an essential part of my life especially during the days when I moved out of my parents' house (3 years ago I think.) and decided to be indie. It was just my apartment, a single bed, pile of unpacked bags and clothes and their music that kept me company. (Along with Paramore :) !!!) Their music, it's candy to my ears. It gives me this "I'm-home" feeling. Comfort. The fact that they'll be out of the scene until we-don't-know-when breaks my heart. But I believe this will cause each of the members good, especially for their families as they mentioned it is one of the deciding factor for this break.

We bought the tickets almost 1 month ahead of the concert (I am that eager to go!) We had the Box section tix, the one with reserved seating (I also thought of getting the Patron Standing because that's where the fun is. But knowing how small I am *roll eyes*.... ugh no na lang.) It isn't that close as in stage level but pretty much we had a good view of the main stage and it's entirety.

See the stage? That close. See the man at the back? I don't know him.
Jokes. I went with Tine because I don't have a choice. :p

It was an epic night. Have I said it was epic? Hey btw, it was epic. I was so giddy when Ian Tayao of Queso entered the stage and thought, "Ohmygaaahd. Queso as front act?! Who else could be next?" And the gods and godesses of Greece and Egypt did not fail me because Chicosci and Urbandub were next. Can you imagine?

Kamikazee fired up starting with "Chiksilog" which is what I could say their break through single. So much memories and feels when they sang "Mmm Sarap" as this was the first song I officially loved them for. Singing along with "Martyr Nyebera" felt like narrating my life with Tine except the ♫ang dami mong babae, wala ka pang trabaho.♫ part. Lels.

The fact that they did not sing "Ikaw" (my #1 amongst all their songs!) as well as Director's Cut and MMK is a bummer! But it did not make the concert any less good. Their complete set of songs for the night were:
(This is in no particular order, please comment if I missed any as this is just based from my memory that FYI is very, very poor.)
  • Chiksilog
  • Tsinelas
  • Girlfriend
  • Lucky
  • Ung Tagalog
  • Sobrang Init
  • Mmm Sarap
  • Ambisyoso
  • Martyr Nyebera
  • Seksi Seksi
  • Hanggang Tingin
  • Unang Tikim
  • Halik
  • Tagpuan
  • Huling Sayaw Feat. Kyla
  • Doo Bidoo
  • Narda

We even had the honor of doing the "reverse clap" (Haha! FUUUUUN!) which is just one of the many hilarious highlights of the night. I was kind of expecting PNE coming out as a surprise guest but they didn't, (Expectation is the root of all heartache, baby girl) but it's okay, Jay managed to trash talk on them saying mayayabang na daw kasi yung mga yun haha! and thank them wholeheartedly for the years of friendship at the same time. ♥ They even did a short cover of Halaga.

Forgive the pathetic quality of my phone.

Jay said nothing but thank you and I love you to everyone and you'd see how awed each of them are when they saw how much people came and how they managed to fill Araneta that much. "Kaya pala natin ang Araneta eh! Akala namin mga karton lang na ginupit para magmukhang madaming tao." said Jay.

Araneta was thumping! I can't help but stare at Bordz because really, the man got some serious skills. Led's hands are magically fast and Puto's as well. And Jomal.... *heavy breathing* Jomal, Jomal, Jomal. Oh my Jomal ♥ Hahahahaha! He is my ultimate crush because OMG why the f not? Jay is his usual maharot self. But no, that's not about it.

He was very emotional. Here's a video of their "Huling Sayaw" performance (Yep, Kyla was there. Can it get any more awesome?!)

"Sa pamilya namin, salamat sa pag-intindi… Sa mga anak namin… babawi na sina Daddy sa inyo."

Nakakaiyaaaaaaaaaaak :(  Thank you Kamikazee. For giving us 15 years of your music, for giving us a legendary night to remember. Continue to be blessed along with your families. Jay! Feel better! Until next time, braders.

Ok Gang for life!

I exited Araneta with my heart full of glee and a little bleak at the same time. :( And what do sad girls do during such emotional times? Yep, we EAT. Lels. We ended the night going to Pares Retiro since we're in Cubao, so you know, we might as well :p

That is all for now! Thanks for dropping by and reading! TTFN!
